OEM... There is nothing better than pulling up to someone with a quiet car and having them look at taillights. Plus, the lady and puppy will enjoy the ride more [thumb] #sleeping

Definitely louder than the OEM exhaust. I'm thinking something toward the Maserati sounds (https://youtu.be/C8e11etBmnE?t=41s). I was close to purchasing the Levante S Gransport but withdrew due to concerns of massive depreciation on a $90k-$100k vehicle.

But I love the sound and I am probably going to look into an aftermarket exhaust for my Stinger.

The Italians really have the talent for creating beautiful exhaust notes.

Idea of a switch is great... you can shut the noise down on COMFORT and pick it up on sports+

^^^THIS is the right answer. We can have both, just add an exhaust cutoff valve and you're done. Of course it would've been better if KIA would've offered from factory as an option.

Good news and bad news guys...Kia is offering a genuine exhaust upgrade here in Australia which is dealer Fitted so it can be done after you purchase the car. It is a bi-modal exhaust which is integrated into the mode switching of the vehicle and when in custom mode, you can change at what rpm it opens and shuts. It is AUD$2500 which includes fitting. I have mine ordered and it will arrive in mid January.

Louder than OEM but not too loud. I already have nasty, loud exhaust on one car. I gotta give the neighbors a break when driving my daily! LOL

That is great news indeed. Now I wonder if KIA north america will offer the same upgrade here.

I think it?s unlikely as it was designed and engineered by Kia Australia and my understanding is that the units are actually being manufactured here in Australia.

I voted louder than OEM. HOWEVER! I would prefer a bi-mode exhaust system where a valve opens and closes for a quiet or sporty sounding exhaust note. The tech is already out there so it's not a big deal for any car company to install it. It shouldn't cost that much more either. If I can't have that then I would like a slightly aggressive yet balanced exhaust note where it's got a nice sporty note when I'm on the throttle but more subtle when I'm cruicing on the highway on long drives. I don't want to end up with a migrane after 30 minutes of cruising on the highway. The option I like the least is exhaust note over the speakers but it's not a deal killer.

Agreed. And drone should be avoided AT ALL COSTS.

I agree with stinger1168 on the highway noise. Leave the exhaust volume to the street racers. I'm a long distance driver (it was designed as a Gran Turismo, after all) and trying to listen to a fairly decent sound system over the drone of exhaust is self-defeating. You can't have it both ways. It would be nice if the exhaust amplification could be defeated in the sound system. Or does that only occur in Sport mode? That would make more sense, or a toggle function.

The perfect solution. Why the hell isn't this available elsewhere or even standard on top of the line models?? Doesn't have to be the Aussie version, just something that works the same way (e.g., Milltek from UK). All the serious competitors already have this type of bi-modal exhaust.

Milltek doesn't like Hyundai-Kia.

Remus originally said they were developing an exhaust then said there wasn't enough interest.
