    Check Electronic Suspension !

I use it when I need it. Unless it stays in SuperSport mode for more than a couple minutes you can usually switch back and the computer will reset. If the fault lights go on the computer won't reset until the car is restarted. Therefore flip the switch for ramps, class b road corners taken at...

    Check Electronic Suspension !

Hi Djltoronto. I switch to that 'Super Sport' mode whenever I want. I saved $4000 on coil over adjustables with a switch. I wired it in series with one of the strut solenoids and VOILA! Open the circuit and the car goes full stiff. Close the circuit and the car recognizes the circuit is...

Installed - Neotech Coilovers and BBK

That's great to hear STINGER. The technical term for what you are describing is 'modulation'. Modulating is how well you can control the finer (smaller) inputs and outputs of an analog system. Digitally it can be compared with resolution. :-)

Installed - Neotech Coilovers and BBK

STINGER. My compliments. That's a spectacular ride. I'm interested in the brakes. I'll look into them now. In the meantime, I'm still using the stock shocks with a set of Eibach's. They work great now that 1 - The new software was downloaded to my car on October 15 improving the car I...

ATTENTION : Brake rotors and warranty

I had a set replaced at 12K. When I brought it back in for another set at 24K I was told 'out of warranty'. I think Kia will make this a recall at some point and we'll all get our money back. It takes time for the data to show there was a bad batch or rotors or there was a n under designed...

GT owners, who's gotten their rotors turned from noise or vibrations?

Hey robz32, that's very interesting. Do you know if they have any specifications on performance? I'm looking for braking hp comparison or something to say 'This is how much more powerful these rotors are than stock'.

GT owners, who's gotten their rotors turned from noise or vibrations?

I was careful to not 'over brake' early in the mileage of my Stinger GT. Bedding the pads is understood but this isn;t a race car. The brakes are simply under designed for the weight of the car. I ordered a set of rotors but when they couldn't give me a delivery date I cancelled the order...

GT owners, who's gotten their rotors turned from noise or vibrations?

My rotors warped and I got them replaced and now they are warped again. I ordered a set of performance rotors from Vivid Racing but they are now saying they don't know when they will have them in stock so i cancelled the order. The fact is the rotors are undersized for the weight of the car...

DIY; ARK Performance Stinger GT-F Lowering Springs Installation Guide

Steve O here. Many of you may recall my ranting and complaining about a too soft suspension. I put in Eibach's (which I love) and then the shocks were still way too soft. Not to worry. I have the solution. The adaptive shocks have a default mode if they lose the computer control. They fail...

Owners on lowered Stingers, how is your tire wear?

Hey JAYP, did you get a lot of creaking in the sunroof when the shade is open but the glass is closed? With the addition of the bracing, did it eliminate, reduce or have no effect on that? I might add the braces if they improve the chassis torsionally. I don't think I need the stiffness for...

Owners on lowered Stingers, how is your tire wear?

FYI K8AR, I have to get new rear tires for my Stinger at 13000 miles. I admit I drove on lowered springs without the revised alignment for about 4000 of those miles. I have to admit I drifted the car once and have used the launch mode more than a few times. Any way you slice it those tires...

    Shifting into Manual Mode

My car has 18000km on it now. That's 12000 miles. Okay, KIA, if you're listening, here's an earful re the transmission and the driving modes to improve ASAP;. 1 - Mode should not revert to comfort every time the car starts. Leave it in the mode it was in when the car was turned off. 2 - If...

My tire wear is as expected. AKA normal.

What's your Kia Stinger suspension plan?

The settings are uploaded to the machine from the machine manufacturer. I got them on the alignment sheet from the dealer but i didn't note them.

What's your Kia Stinger suspension plan?

Settings came in. Alignment done. Rear end twitchiness is gone. Yeah! Sway bars are not needed. Save your money. The car corners flat.

    Kia Stinger Eibach Lowering Springs

Hi All. I mentioned the rear end is twitchy and the car goes off line in certain conditions. Others expressed the same problem. Well the alignment specs are in and the four wheel alignment fixed the problem. That problem was there from day 1. With stock springs and after changing them out to...

Owners on lowered Stingers, how is your tire wear?

I had the Eibach ProKit installed in January. 6000 miles since then. No noticeable unevenness in the tire wear. That photo is of a tire on a car that was slammed, like maybe lowered by 3" or more. Or maybe it's running on airbags. If you mod a car you can mess with it some but you mess with...

    Brembo Brakes Feel Rough

The dealer installed new rotors. Problem solved so far. I haven't tested them yet but that will happen and if they are a problem again I'll advise.

    Adaptive Suspension System

I am only familiar with adaptive shocks that adjust in the recoil direction. Unless it the voltaoreactive fluid shocks like in the Corvette. Recoil (while extending) adjustment only is extremely effective for cars on the road. Off road you benefit greatly from compression adjustment as well...
